Capcom Drops Mega Man 11 Demo, Reveals New Robot Master

Mega Man 11 arrives on October 2nd, but Capcom has given fans the chance to try it out beforehand. Beginning today, players can download a demo and take the Blue Bomber for an early test drive.

The demo pits players against the brick behemoth Block Man. Several Robot Master powers will be at Mega Man’s disposal, as will his faithful companion, Rush. Players also have the chance to try out the new Double Gear system, which brings a slate of new abilities such as slowing down time. Additionally, they can choose from several difficulty settings. Conquering Block Man and sharing the triumph on social media using #BustBlockMan enters players in the Bust Block community challenge. Participants have a chance to win unspecified single-use items in the full release.

Capcom also pulled the curtain back on the rotund Bounce Man (pictured in the header) along with his stage, Boing-Boing Park. Although there’s no video of the villain in action, I would imagine that he does quite a bit of bouncing around. He also sports a retractable arm for executing long-ranged attacks. Bounce Man marks the sixth confirmed Robot Master, meaning that only two unannounced bosses remain. The others shown have been Block Man, Fuse Man, Blast Man, Torch Man, and Impact Man.

Mega Man 11 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A new Mega Man amiibo will also launch alongside the Switch version.
