Atlus’s Studio Zero has teased an upcoming announcement for Catherine: Full Body. The studio took to Twitter to tease the announcement, which is set for January 10th at 10:00 pm ET and will be available via the same Twitter account.
The studio didn’t expand on the nature of the announcement, but the response from fans indicates particular excitement for further ports of the game to the Switch and PC. A PC announcement seems the most likely, with the ESRB recently updating their rating of the original Catherine to include a PC version and several teases for the release on the Steam pages for Bayonetta and Valkyria Chronicles 4.
Personally, following the announcement of Joker for Smash Ultimate, I’m rooting for the announcement of the titular Catherine joining the fight.
Catherine: Full Body is a remake of the 2011 game Catherine, a puzzle platformer with a story focused on infidelity and the complexities of adult relationships. The game was generally well received, currently holding a metascore of 79 from critics and a user score of 8.2.
Catherine: Full Body will feature new animated cutscenes and an additional character, Rin, who will apparently make a significant impact on the story. The game is set for release in Japan on February 14th for PS4 and Vita, with a western release confirmed but not dated (hey maybe that’s the announcement).
